To secure reliability of existing and new facility systems, KTE uses Program E-TAP to perform simulation and analysis on 'Short Circuit', 'Arc Flash', 'Load Flow', 'Motor Acceleration', and 'Coordination & Selection'.

Short-Circuit
In the event of a short circuit accident in the power system, an overcurrent flows to the short circuit point, which seriously affects the power system.It must be quickly shut down to prevent unexpected accidents to the entire system.
For this purpose, when configuring the power system using the Short Circuit module, the correct calculation of the circuit breaker capacity, selection of suitable devices, and cooperation with protective relays can be considered.

Arc Flash
Arc Flash Analysis presents the ARC Flash Protection standard that guarantees the safety of field workers by analyzing Arc Flash Incident Energy caused by an assumed accident.
In addition, Arc Flash can design a more secure power system based on NEFA 70E-2004 and IEEE Standards, 1584-2002 ~ 1584-2004.
Load Flow
It is a module used for future facility expansion and maintenance plans such as electric power capacity of various facilities, power capacitor input capacity, load shedding, voltage drop, and power flow by analyzing the size, voltage and current distribution of power (reactive or effective) flowing through the power system.

Motor Acceleration
Due to the characteristics of the induction motor, a starting current with a large power factor is required.
This can cause a momentary voltage drop across the grid within the power plant, which can affect other equipment in operation.
To prevent this, it is a module for analyzing the power system so that the voltage drop can be limited within the allowable range when the large-capacity induction motor is started.

Coordination & Selectivity
In case of circuit overload or short circuit accidents due to abnormalities or failures in electrical equipment or circuits in the system
Only circuits directly related to the faulty circuit are immediately disconnected from the system by means of a protective device.
A mutual protection cooperation system can be formed by composing protection cooperation for each facility to enable continuous power supply for a normal circuit.
